Hraïr Hratchian poursuit, depuis 1995, un travail où s’entrecroisent musique, art performance et film expérimental. Membre fondateur du groupe de rock montréalais De la Caucase (1998-2008), il a occupé les rôles de chanteur et de doudoukiste et avec lequel il a produit l'album  La mort cruelle de Marcel Léart [cliquez ici]. Il a également fondé le groupe La Désunion (2010-2013), caractérisé par ses improvisations sonores [cliquez ici] . Invité en tant que doudoukiste par le groupe allemand Einstürzende Neubauten, il a collaboré sur la pièce Armenia lors de concerts en 2004, 2005 et 2011  [cliquez ici]. Il a aussi pris part à divers projets et tournées avec Sam Shalabi, le groupe canadien Esmerine et Jerusalem In My Heart. Depuis 2014, il se produit sur scène et réalise des films expérimentaux au Canada, aux États-Unis et à l’étranger.

Since 1995, Hraïr Hratchian is pursuing a work where music, performance art, and cinematography intersect. A founding member of the Montreal rock band De la Caucase (1998–2008), he served as both a singer and a duduk player with whom he produced the album  La mort cruelle de Marcel Léart. Since 2014, he has been performing on stage and producing experimental films in Canada, the United States, and abroad.
